Well, armed with the knowledge of where the problem was, I downloaded and  

installed the latest rsvg and the toolbars now work! I should have thought  

of that earlier, I guess, but that's always a problem with dependancies.


Can you let us know which version you had before, and which you are onto now?

I've been looking at adding some Schematron to check compatibility with various targets. This seems like a good use for that.
