Can our users use Inkscape and GIMP in place of Corel Draws of the world to provide proper info to GDI and in turn to our drivers?
When printing on Windows, prerelease versions of Inkscape should use GDI (supplying it with vector information) to output to printers, but ultimately this depends on the version of GTK used. It should work with GTK 2.14, but currently we ship GTK 2.12 on Windows (f I recall correctly). I'm not certain whether GTK 2.12 works, because it doesn't say in the Gnome bigzilla what is the first version not affected by this bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488833
Can anyone more familiar with the Windows printing situation say something more?
(2) Does Inkscape work with the following operating systems?
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista 32 bit
- Windows Vista 64 bit
- System 7 32 bit
- System 7 64 bit
It should work on all those systems, but I am not aware of any testing being done on 64bit Vista and both versions of Windows 7.
