[Inkscape-devel] Sigc++ and GtkMM

While trying to compile a test class with GtkMM2.4, I noticed that configure.in tests for GtkMM2.4, but not for SigC++2.0, which is its dependency. I modified the test to allow both or neither.

However, after noticing a lot of Sigc1.2-dependent code in our source, I commented the tests out altogether.

Since GtkMM is still "new development", should be not go with 2.4, and avoid a later upgrade? Swallow the pill now, rather than later?

Just wondering. :)
