However for mozilla (and I assume Thunderbird) "Reply" sends to the 'Reply-to' address, not the 'From', nor the 'To:'
Sending to Reply-to is the only conformant behavior; the purpose of Reply-to being to handle situations where a sender can send from an email address, but not (for whatever reason) receive mail there. It does happen.
Consequently, destroying the Reply-to information by replacing it with that of the list can wipe out any clues as to how to contact the original sender privately, should one want to do so.
So you either have to Reply-all and trim, or manually change the reply
Reply-all and trim isn't so bad, is it?
I'm really rather shocked that Mozilla doesn't have a "reply to list" function, though. I could have sworn it did (I only have Firebird installed, so I can't easily check).
