Aaron Spike
From the report of the monthly GNU Advisory Committee (GAC) meeting
that took place on Thursday - Feb. 4th:
- Brian: techno-legal question, what about crypto packages that in the past we could not release from the US?
- Karl: I recall discussing this with Werner K, rms, brett, thought the conclusion was that US distribution was ok now. Will research and confirm/deny. [In later communications, it was confirmed by rms that US distribution of cryptographic software is indeed ok now.]
