[Inkscape-devel] [ 880559 ] Loading place text in wrong place

The bug is not in wrong display; actually Inkscape displays your file correctly and Sodipodi does not. The bug was in adding extra newlines when the file was saved. This bug is fixed in CVS. However, to fix your existing file, you'll have to manually remove any wrong whitespace between <tspan> elements within <text> elements. E.g. instead of

<text> <tspan>English</tspan> </text>

you should have

<text><tspan>English</tspan></text>

Or, you can load your file into Inkscape CVS, manually remove the extra newlines and save the file.
