Here's some thoughts on plans around the paint by numbers idea...
- Select (say) 3 areas in the codebase to focus on, that
- There are many bugs/rfe's of relevance
- Core developers think are important to be worked on
- Won't be too intimidating to novices
- Several people already understand moderately well
In hopes of sparking some discussion, here are some different areas we could pick from:
* Guides, rulers, snapping, and grid * Inkscape Internal API - DOM/verb work * File format converters * Code cleanup - InkscapeJanitors * Gtk/gtkmm goofiness * Renderer bugs * Text and fonts * Whiteboard * Printing
Which three of these sound most interesting to make paint-by-number things around? All of these have a lot of bugs/rfes associated with them, and work in these areas would move Inkscape forward.
