Hi Guys, I wanted to put a news item about the summer of code on the front page, but my wordpress account doesnt have the privelege level required to post it, I've saved the draft, could one of you guys put it up for me? (Have a read of it first, many eyes and all that) If you know how to up the privelges too that'd be great

Done. And I've also raised your access level.
If any other developers need their access level increased then please drop me an email and I'll get it sorted.

Yeah, I have seen this, too. I had to increase Bulia's privileges to 4 before he could post. Is there maybe some setting in the software to raise the default to 4 or 5?

That would probably be possible, but it would mean that anyone who registers an account would be able to post news. I don't think we really want that.
I do try to check occassionally whether anybody new has registered an account, and if it's obvious they're a developer then I raise their level. It'd be easier to keep on top of that if SF didn't block mailing from webspace, but such is life...
What I could do though, is put a note for developers to email me on the registration page. I will do that.
