Hi Martin,
despite all this mess, I wish you a happy Sysadmin Day :) Thanks for keeping us informed and dealing with the flood of bug reports!
We do have content backups (cms etc) which we do each night, so if you've written something recently and would like content from the backup let me know.
- Yes. There are a few things:
I had just changed all those Windows download links to the non-sf addresses (which seems a bad move now... but I couldn't foresee this... - we wouldn't have those Windows dl bug reports and unhappy users now if I had not changed them.... :-( - can't kick myself as hard as I'd like to...).
When OSUOSL has brought the db back, it would be good if you could restore the Windows downloads pages for all languages, *if* it still seems a good idea to use our own file archive instead of the sf ones until they are in the resources system.
Also new: - Animation page (all languages) - A few smaller changes to the FAQ (at least German, English) - To-Do list (all languages) - Contribute page had been updated (at least German, English)
Thanks again, Maren
We don't keep backups of user registrations or uploaded
gallery items so those in the last two weeks are gone.
Like last time I swapped the database to a read only sqlite db from April. So at least the website shows base pages, there's still some errors since I really didn't expect database fallback to be a huge part of what we had to deal with but it's something we may want to improve if we think osuosl's database is likely to have problems again in the future.
Thanks for your attention.
Best Regards, Martin Owens

Those links wouldn't have mattered, the media directory is uneffected. The 0.91 downloads are only offline because we don't have the required resource items.
Martin,
Perfect timing for the data loss, given that we removed all the files from SF (thereby removing redundancy). Worst coincidence ever. Is there any ETA for this stuff getting fixed so we can notify users when they can get Inkscape?
Cheers, Josh

The files in question were never on SF, SF only held old versions.
The ETA has been in the next hour for the last two days. I'm not pleased about the way it's gone.
