I own Adobe FontFolio 8.0 and have strange problems with Minion font family. Those fonts render correctly with GIMP and Scribus, but not Inkscape. If I somehow manage to get them on canvas, they get totally messed up when picking Bold or Italic faces of the same using Font dialog, but not if I use secondary toolbar for the same purpose.
Anyone experienced similar problems?
Thanks in advance, Vlada

If you file a bug report for that, attaching all relevant fonts, I will look into that.

I doubt this respects the Adobe FontFolio EULA.

True. That's why I haven't included fonts in the report in the first place. So, the issue must be tracked down by someone who has a copy of Adobe FontFolio himself.
Or, by me if you have any idea why this happens. Something to start with...

Could you try the fonts http://home.sus.mcgill.ca/~moyogo/fonts/test/Jaja-All-OTF.zip and see if you get the same or a similar behaviour? These are free fonts designed for testing purposes.

OK. Here it is:
Dropdown selector shows fonts exactly like gimp and scribus do, which means correctly. Inkscape lists 36 different faces of the same Jaja font. Is that what I should expect to see? I think so...
BTW, magic is need to close dropdown menu here (don't know if that is KDE related or Inkscape issue - second I think!) I have to click all around place to exit the menu.
Using Font selector dialog brings the mess! Fonts are listed there too. First to appear is "Jaja" with numerous faces in the right positioned selector box. Bold face appears, what, about 10-15 times but doesn't change a thing when being clicked on. The same about Medium, Book, Light, Black, and so on. Something is deffinitely wrong here...
Possibly relevant things about working environment: fontconfig-2.4.2 freetype-2.1.10 KDE-3.5.6 (font installed using KDE's standard font installer from Control center as Personal - not system wide)
Thanx in advance, Vlada
