Now investigating more: when I use your daily build040402 and replace the exe to that what I generate. The application crashes. when I am still in the build proccess and have that mingwenv.bat activ then its ok. Whithout this additional path-settings it doesn't work. (ie. start using explorer click)

I have a German WinXP professional I am logged in as power-user. The icons.svg I mentioned was 1.13 from cvs. Version 1.5 is ok. Version 1.6 crashes.

I yust wanna know wheter someone else has this experience.

In any case, this is worth a bug report, because we don't want old versions of Inkscape crash on newer files. However I cannot reproduce this, my 0.37 loads latest icons.svg without a problem. So please give more information. Ideally please produce a backtrace of the crash - you can get Windows binary of GDB at http://www.mingw.org/download.shtml. Try to find a minimum file that crashes, by deleting parts of the file.

When I open icons.svg in Adobe I get "bad (singular) matrix()".

Batik loads this file without a hitch. So this may be an Adobe problem. Anyway, please try to similarly find a minimum file that gives this error.
