Oh, nevermind, I forgot you have to have an actual point between the start and end marker to see the mid marker. My bad. :P

I use markers now and then, but haven't noticed any problems. Not with 0.91. Which version are you using? OS?

We do get the occasional question in forums, where the member didn't actually have any nodes in the middle. But I guess you checked on that already?

Is it a custom marker or stock marker? (Not that I have any ideas, but I just don't know what else to ask....)
