
While the original "download" webpage was fairly empty, the addition of the cvs-snap/ directory might make it more meaningful. At present, there isn't really any other good place to put a link to the nightly tarballs.
What do the web folks think about putting download.php back into service looking something like:
Sourceforge Releases -------------------- http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=93438
Nightly CVS Tarballs -------------------- Current: http://www.inkscape.org/cvs-snap/inkscape-current.tar.bz2 Historical: http://www.inkscape.org/cvs-snap/

I agree; it was odd having a download page that simply referenced SF, so it just added an extra click to getting to the downloads, but if we have additional stuff to put on it that'll make it much more reasonable to have it.
