Hello, It is now official for the administration of our school, we are starting working on the "distortion envelope tool" at the end of december. Our official "tutor" from the dev team is Johan Engelen. The school is only interested in observing how we manage to organize our project alone and if we meet the requirements.

I'll be the project leader, we are 6 in the team and we will be working for 5 months. (from 4 to 8 hours a week) We are before all inkscape users and we are very exited to build something for it.

The goals are : - create the distortion tool engine for paths (using lib2geom, and path effects) - create the tool's UI - extend path effects to groups for the distortion tool and others (path along path for example)

Of course : - SVG compliant - The original object is saved.

If the project goes well, the goals could be extended. We'll see with Johan. (nb : Yesterday, I was thinking about path effect on clones, path effect on texts...)
