Looks like a good candidate for an extension. It just needs to be patched to generate SVG instead of rasterizing via antigrain library.

I think after the 0.42 release, I'd like to try rewriting the clonetiler in terms of a simple CFG engine. All of the plane symmetry groups should be expressable that way.
Users wouldn't see anything different, except we could (for example) allow an additional option of specifying a ContextFree-style grammar instead of a symmetry group.
