Our requested number of slots for GSoC is currently greater than the number of mentors we have. If I don't see a change in this equation soon, I need to change our request to a lower number.
SO...
If we have anyone interested in mentoring students this year who is not signed up, please do so asap.
If we have anyone that is currently signed up who is willing or able to mentor more than one student, please speak up.

I've started reading the proposals. But I haven't gotten to ranking quite yet. I want to echo Josh's encouragement. I think we all waited too long last year and it scared me.

Hi Josh, I would be happy to mentor on a project that is something geo oriented like SVG/KML or SVG / Open Street Maps. Guess I should sign up.
