LJ Editor's Choice 2005

I just flipped to page 82 of the August 2005 issue of Linux Journal. Congratulations to all you devs for the Editor's Choice Award for Graphics Software.

Yeah!!! Does that mean we dethroned Gimp from that title?
I added to the wiki.
Also, looks like they are now doing a Readers Choice Award: http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/8272
Check it out!

I wouldn't want to presume but the GNU Image Manipulation Program has been winning for so long people really want a little variety (Jahshaka won it a few years back).

Excellent.
Last year Inkscape was not even shortlisted but got an honourable mention for most write in votes, without even needing any attempts to stuff the ballot boxes.
This year Inkscape was on the shortlist and now the final round of nominations has Inkscape against only the GNU Image Manipulation program.
Far as I can tell we are all supposed to vote again, time to mail all the lists including OpenClipart and get people to vote before July 28, 2005!
I love the comments at the end of the article, the Inkscape publicity machine in action.
Sincerely
