which sounds like a gtk bug to me, though I can't be sure. Is this what you were getting?
No, at first I was getting a message about libglade. But then I did the ultimate evil (copying DLLs around). No I get an error that says:
This application has failed to start because libxml2.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Could you give me a link to the pygtk package you are using?

Sure: http://www.pcpm.ucl.ac.be/~gustin/win32_ports/pygtk.html . I'm getting my gtk runtime from http://gladewin32.sourceforge.net . Those are enough for me to be able to run gtk applications. Let me know whether the extension at least works outside of inkscape.

Yeah, it now works outside of Inkscape. I don't know what I was using before, but that must not have been it. I still can't get it to work inside of Inkscape. We really need someone to hack the extensions code to collect and display STDERR so that we can debug these things on Windows.
Could you please make a few changes to the INX file. Remove the absolute path from the python dependency and add an interpreter attribute to the command. I don't think it can work on Windows until those things are changed.

I forgot to ask. Have you had a chance to take a look at the SOAP API for OCAL's DMS?
Aaron Spike
Not yet. DMS isn't installing correctly with cpan, I'll have to work with it some more. But I'll be implementing the extension to use that API, not the hacky web forms tricks I'm using now.
