Hey there folks, I contributed a patch that was accepted and has an entry in the release notes. Does that make me an author? If not, then no worries -- it was not a huge patch -- but it would fun to see my name in lights. :-)

Sure, what was the patch again? Also, if you've had two patches accepted, you can also request SVN access (just point me at the two patches, and give me your SourceForge user name and I'll add you.)
(The above goes for anyone who have had patches accepted recently.)

Great! This is the one: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/ReleaseNotes046#Saving_window_geomet...
I feel kind of bad though -- being a "Baxter" it means my name will appear inappropriately high in the list relative to my contribution. Maybe there could be a separate section below the "major" contributors for "other contributor" also-rans like me. :-) Then maybe something like 10 accepted patches gets you on the "majors" list. May be too hard to ferret out who did what among all those names there now, though.
About SVN, I think Bulia offered, but I said no for now, since after scratching that itch I didn't have any immediate plans for further hacking.
Thanks, --bb

Okay, you're added as an official Inkscape author.

Hey, a great way to solve that bad feeling would be to put in some patches to fix some bugs! :-)

Nah, then we'd have to have policies and whatnot to determine who "deserves" to be in the list and so on.

Righto. Let me know when you're ready to dive in more and I'll set you up.

What a great bunch of blokes you are. This is a great project. Don't know how you all manage to find so much time to put into it, but I'm sure glad you do.

Are Summer of Code participants official authors too? Never really thought of it before but that would actually be pretty cool!
