The new cursors recently committed by Scislac don't work for me on win2k. They are shown as a white square and a stream of warnings goes on the console like:
(inkscape-console.exe:368): Gdk-WARNING **: gdkdrawable-win32.c:1323: LineTo fai led
Does anyone know a fix for this? If not, sadly but this patch will have to be backed out.

Well I'll be... I just checked on a win2k box here and have the same white boxes... It didn't even cross my mind to test win2k, as it's usually 9x that has issues. Well it's one more test I will do from now on. I will experiment a little this afternoon and if I can't find a solution I will back the patch out later this evening.
I don't get the console warnings though, however I don't launch from the command prompt so that may be why. Darnit... now to go experiment...

For what its worth, in case anyone was wondering, those new coloured cursors worked fine on Mac OS X.
They did also work on WinXP & Linux... but given the win2k issue that I was able to verify myself, it doesn't meet our QA standards. I will talk to the patch author about going straight to png cursors though (as XPM itself doesn't support alpha transparency anyway, so we'll need to jump straight to the end product when we switch... to do it right at least). I think that color cursors will be awesome, but they need to be done right from the get go. I'm a little disappointed that win2k had a seizure, but it goes with the territory of multi-platform development I suppose.
