Inkscape version: 0.43 (Debian package, i386)
If you create a "linked offset", and then move the primary object to which that offset is linked, the offset moves FARTHER (in the same direction) than the primary. Watching this process in the XML editor, it appears that moving the primary inserts a "translate" block into the SVG code for the offset, which was not initially present. If this tag is removed, the offset will then recenter on the primary at its new location.
Rotating the primary creates similar problems. The linked offset will NOT rotate, but it does move around, although in this case the "translate" tag does not appear in its SVG code.
I don't know whether this behavior is intentional or not; to me, it seems kind of disfunctional, like some vector transformations are being applied in the wrong order or something. It's easy to reproduce; it happens every time.
So is this behavior a bug, or a "feature"?
