Hello to all! I'm new in the Inkscape world. My intention is to slowly get involved and at some point start helping with the project.
One first question. I'm receiving mails from this list but sometimes it's an sanswer to a question that I didn't receive. That confuses me. Can someone explain me why is that? Perhaps a setting in the subscription or another reason?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome, aboard.

What is the date of your subscription? You will receive all postings to the list after that date, but the question may have been asked before that date. (This should be obvious, but I like to make sure the obvious is covered.)
You can try finding the question in the archive, just to make sure it was sent before you subscribed. The archive of inkscape-dev is at: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_name=inkscape-devel
Another possibility is tied in with the store and forward nature of email. The question may not have reached you, yet. Each posting may use a different route from the list server to your mail server. On gmail, I've received the first, third, fourth, and sixth posting to a thread as much as a half-day before the second and fifth arrived. Give the thread a half-day to become complete and you may not see any answers without questions.
Thanks in advance!
I hope that helped. Of course, I, too, am still learning how these machines support our efforts to communicate. So, if anyone else has other explanations, I'd love to see them.
I subscribed in September 18. So I think it make sense that I'll receive postings only after that date.
Thanks for your answer!

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable. Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense. And common sense. http://p.sf.net/sfu/splunk-d2dcopy2 _______________________________________________ Inkscape-devel mailing list Inkscape-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/inkscape-devel
