Hmm, I don't recall ever seeing that in Sodipodi. This is definitely a strongly desired feature, but it's non-trivial to do unfortunately, and none of the developers have plans to look at it currently, afaik. (If you'd be interested in working on developing it, it'd be a great feature to add).

It's in our feature request tracker, so we know about it. Maybe some day someone will have a chance to work on it.
