I see that lauris gave the comment:
It is well-known problem of Nautilus/rsvg. The workaround that sometimes helps is to specify gradient as 'userspaceinuse' in sodipodi gradient editor.
So, if it's a problem in Nautilus, then there really isn't anything we can do. Shall I document the workaround and close the bug?
