I just did a commit to add LittleCms as an optional feature. If anyone could give the configure.ac changes a look, that would be helpful. I'm not too expert on config changes yet.
I've also talked over various aspects with Peter, so have a good idea on first steps of actually using the library, and we should see bits using it fairly quickly. We might even be able to get <colorProfile> and friends working for the general case within a week or so.

Great to hear! The littleCMS talk at LGM was quite inspirational, so I'm looking forward to seeing these (fairly straightforward but powerful) capabilities in Inkscape.

Anyone know Iliad?
I saw this in the bookstore this evening

He should use Inkscape for cartoons anyway, not Gimp. :-)

Do you need LittleCms v1.15, or will it work with 1.13 too? At least Ubuntu(Dapper) has only v1.13.

I'm not sure.
I added 1.15 in the config as that was the version on my OSX box and on Bulia's "older" linux box.
If anyone could check what's changed and/or try a build against 1.13 we could probably switch to that.
