Hello all,
I just found out that the LaTeX renderer, functionplotter, gears, and probably other effects are broken for me :( I get a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library (?!) error.
This was very dissapointing; now i have to revert to 0.45.1 :( Anybody know what causes the bug?

I think these are part of the transition to lxml. Aaron? How is that going? Is there something other people can do to help?

MSVC runtime errors don't sound like the sort of thing the LXML transition would cause. Perhaps the change to python 2.5 which also happened at about the same time. I've completed the first run through for converting extensions (all but the latex extension that I don't know how to use and barcode). Now I need to go back and fix whatever bugs we can find. I've been short on time lately, but now that I'm back from vacation I might get more done.
