hi, i was thinking it would be neat if you could have an automatic word bubble that wraps around text and objects and grows and shrinks keeping the text centered and everything; does something like this exist already for inkscape? looking at the roadmap, there seems to be plans to make a plugin api: is there a point in trying to implement such a thing before that occurs? thanks rob

That could be possible, but waiting for the plug-in API is probably best. We're looking at supporting connection points, and other types of smart objects, so something of that nature wouldn't be entirely out of line.
You are always welcome to submit a patch though. Most likely, any plug-in type interface will look similar to the internal interface now. So, it would be easy to port the patch when the API becomes available.
