Re: [Inkscape-devel] RE: keyboard shortcuts + man page
Take a look at 'ScrollKeeper': http://scrollkeeper.sourceforge.net/
What is involved in adding SK support? Can we do this quickly, for the shortcuts page only, before the release? If not, I would still much prefer to have a web browser fired as an interim solution, because easy access to the shortcuts page is critical for users.

Here's a step-by-step example of adding scrollkeeper support:

My only concern is about cross-platform stability of using scrollkeeper. Bulia, what do you think?

For Windows, you need to consider converting the files to Windows help files. That is all, as the OS has its own viewer.
Bob
What about OS X? JonCruz, anyone?

On modern windows, those are .htc files, which are really just a "compiled" form of HTML.

Can these be back-ported to W9x? Just wondering.
Still looking for that copy of RoboHelp.

Bulia, I'm writing a grant today, but hopefully I will get some time to look at this in the next day or two after.
Right now I'm in favor of firing up a browser rather than the full help system before the release.
You can be assured to get a browser on linux (mozilla), iexplore on windows, and safari on OS X. I guess browser preference could be another pref, which would be separate from the option of a open file for preview pref.
Any thoughts? When are we going to start the feature freeze? Maybe WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY, prior to our next release?
