With 0.40 still warm from the presses, we've decided to press on with a 0.41 release in mid to late January. ScislaC and myself have prioritized the bugs, identifying 21 high criticality bugs. We've not decided the strategy for attacking these bugs but one way or another we must fix a large proportion of these before our release.

At the prompting of new members in the Inkscape development community, I've written up a set of 'Call For Volunteers' posted to the mailing list at the end of December.

Meanwhile, Derek (aka Jizzbug) and myself have been pounding out the Gtkmm code. The plan is to see this integrated into the main codebase immediately after the 0.41 release.

The stats are steadily improving, and we're seeing continued growth in both our development and user communities. Welcome, new folks. :-) The translation ratio has notched up a bit more, however our bug ratio has slipped down a percent from 15% in Dec to 16% now. However, I'll bet we knock it back down for the 0.41 release.
