Hello all,
So I've gotten most of the way on getting a nightly build setup in a Launchpad PPA. It builds for the current, the previous and the next release of Ubuntu. What I'm particularly happy about is the package is "inkscape-devel" so it can be parallel installed with a stable version of Inkscape. Here's the PPA:
http://launchpad.net/~inkscape-nightly/+archive
I'm going to run the script by hand for a couple of days to catch errors but then Cory has graciously allowed me to run it on his server after that so it should become more regular.

Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. It is the best place to buy or sell services for just about anything Open Source. http://p.sf.net/sfu/Xq1LFB _______________________________________________ Inkscape-devel mailing list Inkscape-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/inkscape-devel

I think the name should rather be "inkscape-svn", "inkscape-unstable" or "inkscape-nightly" because it could be confused with names like "gedit-dev" which are reserved for development-related files, e.g. plugin headers. But probably it's too late to change this. Anyway, great work!

Are these updating correctly? Doesn't seem to have changed recently.
Thanks -Terry

The bzr-svn setup is broken. So we're waiting on that to be fixed.

No, though they are closer now. The long story is that some of the bugs that I've filled in Bazaar SVN got fixed, mostly dealing with cherry picks, so the version numbering of imported repositories has changed to make it so that the scripts I have broke. But, I'm a good way towards getting it working again.
Sorry for the interruption.

Can someone put a link to these nightly Ubuntu builds on our download page at inkscape.org? I end up searching my mail archive everytime I want to comment on a bug-report posted by Ubuntu users.
Thanks,
