Supporting Inkscape Development

Hello,
I have received an email from someone who is using Inkscape professionally in his company. He would like to support the Inkscape project but his company doesn't allow him to directly donate money. He is required to purchase something. He has pointed out that the Blender project (www.blender.org) has a shop where part of the proceeds go to support Blender. Is there interest in creating a similar Inkscape shop?

How would this money be managed? Do we have special needs that would be made possible if we received money? We still dont have anything similar to a Bender Foundation for Inkscape, right? We could use this money to offer coding bounties, maybe.

I am under some stress right now but I might be able to help. I have U.S and Canadian Shipping addresses. I will likely travel to the U.S in the next few months to open up a U.S based bank account. I want to set up a Google check account and only U.K and U.S accounts will work. We could set up a Google checkout account for this.
I however would feel a little creepy handling all the Inkscape money. Would it be better to set up a foundation and have the foundation own the account? I believe provisions can be made for two signatures to be required for checks and so on. Would it not be better to have one of the founders set up with this account?

I believe our financial stuff is handled by the Software Freedom Conservancy, with the Inkscape Board making decisions on how to spend that money:
The Inkscape Board "[will] oversee financial matters related to the money held and managed for us by SFC. Please see [...] http://www.inkscape.org/conservancy" (written when we were in the process of joining SFC).
According to http://conservancy.softwarefreedom.org/donate/, it allows donations via Google Checkout, PayPal, or of course paper cheque.
