I'm frequently using the dynamic offset to add a thick contour around the drawing. Problem is, it looks awful when the drawing has sharp edges. Would it be hard to create other types of dynamic offset, e.g. miter dynamic offset (which would look like the outer edge of a miter stroke)?
Of course this is an idea for the future, because right now we need to concentrate on bugfixing :)

Did you try the Color outline svg filter in the Morphology filters submenu ? Not exactly the same, but can be useful in some cases for thick contours. You can assign any colour to your outline with the Flood primitive.
