Bitmap oversampling broken in Inkscape-0.47pre3-2.LEOPARD+ ?
Hello all,
My name is Jens Persson and I've been using Inkscape a lot the last three years, both on PC and Mac, mainly for mobile application GUI design, and I'm always waiting for the next release.
The 0.47pre3 for Leopard suddenly doesn't do any interpolation of imported bitmap images any more, so I had to switch back to 0.47pre2.
Can anyone else confirm this problem and if it is being dealt with? (e.g. try rotating an imported png image, jaggy nearest neighbour no matter what you set the "Oversample bitmap" to). I could not find any mention of it in the bug tracker.
Kind Regards, Jens Persson
Hi. I can confirm that this is the case on WinXP too. In 0.46 the oversample bitmap setting works (although you have to alt-tab to a different application and back to see the effect each time over sample value is changed). In 0.47 pre3 there is no oversampling effect for the bitmaps. (I only tested this using png-files with alpha)

In 0.47pre2 bitmap oversampling works as expected, but not in 0.47pre3. I have only tested it for Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard, PNG-files with and without alpha.
