Hi Bob, I've done some reinstalling and more checking.

1. Version 0.44-1 works perfectly. 2. Your versions 0607141303, 0607281436, and 0607300736 reinstalled, all show the reported error messages. 3. I copied the Inkscape.exe files of these versions into 0.44-1 and they again show the error messages. 4. LATEST-EXE files from Daniels site were obtained for 0607162003 and 0607300220. The exe files from these do not show the error messages when put into 0.44-1.

I changed the Inkscape.dat file as you instructed but that did not seem to affect things. Same error messages..

I noted that the Inkscape.exe files of your versions are in the range 6888 to 7002, whereas Daniels versions and 0.44-1 are smaller at 5800 to 5900. Don't know if that is relevent or not.
