I mean that "letter" is defined by a lot of us as 8.5x11inches. It is that size in North America. But not for everybody.

It is like cultural chauvanism. Like when Chris Rock was a kid, and pulled a "flesh" colored crayon from a Crayola box, and it was pink. ;-)

Yes, it is not on the Preferences panel. It should be.
