So call it the Jar... wait that's taken how about.... Nexus the center of the whole SVG regardless of postion in the layers. Makes sense to me.

Well, there's a standard SVG/XML term for it: "root".
I think we're better off using standard terminology for things rather than making up our own.
Given the widespread use of XML, I'm sure there is a standard translation for it in most languages too.
