Sorry for my recent lack of updates. I was out of the country without a computer for a little over a week, was further delayed by a flight cancellation, and just got back. I had meant to post this update prior to leaving but didn't quite finish writing it in time.
I have carefully read the SVG specification with regards to units, coming up with examples and a plan for implementation of real world units.
