Now that we've branched for the release, HEAD is unfrozen.
I think my first bit of work will be to merge Aubanel's gtkmm 2.4 patch sometime in the next few days.
If this will cause undue problems for anyone, please scream now.

Maybe hold off a day or two until we've seen some successful rpm's get built and tested, just to be certain everything's ok with the release. Maybe plan on making Sunday the "Open the floodgates" day?

Yes, they should be working from the release tarball.
The issue, though, is if we needed to do a 0.39.1, and need to fish bug fixes out of HEAD, I was worried (perhaps unnecessarily) that changing deps in HEAD too early might complicate matters.
