Hi everyone

I worked on the spatial indexes GSOc project, and made progress but unfortunately the last month has been quite problematic, due to external issues (nothing to do with GSOC or programing).

So, I won't be able to deliver the project completed in time. However, I will continue the work (after a small break). I want it to be available for the 0.49 release and I hope that I'll have results by mid to end September. I'll soon upload the work I've done so far.
