GSoC 2006 Mentor Summit
Google is holding a summit in San Francisco, on Sat Oct 14th. I won't be making it, but wanted to pass this along in case another mentor (Ted? Jon?) would like to...

Hello everyone,
If you are an organization administrator who is not planning to attend the summit, please forward this message along to the two delegates for your organization so they can register for the event and get looped in all logistical details.
We've put up a wiki to plan the GSoC 2006 Mentor Summit. Thanks to our friends at red-bean.com for hosting it for us!
In order to access and edit the wiki, you will need to register at http://www.red-bean.com/socwiki/UserPreferences
Once you've registered and logged in, please visit http://www.red-bean.com/socwiki/. From this page you'll find general information about the summit, as well as links to an attendee registration page, logistics information, an agenda page and our mentor summit FAQ.
A few things you'll notice when visiting the wiki:
1) We're structuring the summit as an unconference - we want you to decide what topics should be discussed and will be most useful to your fellow mentors and admins. Please feel free to populate the conference agenda with whatever sessions you'd like.
2) There is still no information on the wiki for booking flights, though there is information on booking your hotel stay. According to our Finance department, everything should be ready with our travel agent to allow you to book flights as of tomorrow morning. I will post to the list as soon as everything is finalized and instructions for booking flights have been added to the wiki.
Any questions, just let us know at soc2006support@...1508...
Cheers, LH

It'd be fun, but leave it to Google to choose the one weekend that my dad is coming to visit... It looks like they'll sponsor airfare/hotel -- Mental, Bulia -- if you come through LA I'll buy lunch :) And Jon Cruz practically lives at Disneyland.

Unfortunately it's also the very weekend that I'll be unveiling my new minicomic (made in Inkscape, naturally!) at Small Press Expo.
