We need to fix some of these now that we moved them.

I've added them as a sub-module in git, please do:

git pull git submodule update --init --recursive

To pull. The extensions are pegged at a specific commit in the extensions repository, so new changes won't be visible until git submodule update has been run again and then we commit the new link to the new version peg.

I think that should be working again now, Patrick did it, if I understood that correctly.

Alvin, do the latest builds (when they are ready) work for you? Note that translated extensions don't show up if you're using a non-English interface language for Inkscape (probably not an issue for you, though :), but for others listening in)

Hmm. When we switched to git, we had discussed about git submodules, but opted to hold off on them for the time being due to worries about problems like these (user confusion + tool breakage). No one was entirely against it, but the convenience vs. complexity trade seemed an unlikely win at the time, which is why we've been avoiding using it for 2geom and other such things.

Martin, would you mind holding off on switching to use of submodules in the main code tree until there's been more discussion? If we do start using submodules for extensions, then it'd make sense to revisit using it for 2geom and other things, however if it still looks like a small convenience for a lot of complexity it may be worth looking at other approaches.

tested the latest Appveyor build. there are numerous warning messages in the console. the failed addresses do not exist on my hard drive. the Inkscape extension menu is empty.

just checking to see what the plan is with respect to the implementation of the new Python extension system in Inkscape 1.0alpha (fb2bebf, 2019-01-22). We are starting to get bug reports by people who are detecting that the Python extensions no longer work. - https://gitlab.com/inkscape/extensions/issues/11 - https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/issues/32 - https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/issues/41 Is there a schedule for when this will be repaired?
