Hi Guys, There are 2 patches in the tracker currently from me which I'd quite like to get reviewed/checked in if possible. One adds selection to marker funcitonality, the other adds stock patterns to the fill/stroke dialog. If any of you can find the time to take a look I'd appreciate it, my SVN s bust and I'm so rusty anyways that I'd feel more comfortable with at least a second set of eyes having had a look over it.
Cheers
John

Both have been committed as it seems ;-)
And there are several more useful ones:
- n-up layout effect [1747339] - a line marker editing effect [1730390] - slicing extension (for web and whatnot) [1805823] - parametric plotter extension [1772614] - default metadata [1746892] - export SVG-metadata when exporting to PDF [1675855]
etc. There are 27 patches overall currently.
And about bugs. Last several evenings I spent on bugtracker checking which reports are still valid. I must admit that a scary amount is still valid. I started from 2004 bugs and currently stopped at February 2007 and I think I could close only 10 bug reports or so, while we have 794 reports at all and I've seen no single duplicated bug report so far.
Some stats on priority:
9 - 35 8 -36 7 - 22 6 - 165 5 - 412 4 - 3 3 - 110 2 - 5 1 - 6
Inkscape still has rendering issues dating back to 2005 and about 70 bugs seem to be crash related bugs.

Valid meaning you tested them yourself?

Yes, either myself or requested updates from reporters. I didn't test some of the reports where my knowledge is not sufficient.

Especially about the crash bugs: I think it is crucial to fix these ASAP. Yesterday I tried fixing 2 and I remember fixing one and a half... Attaching gdb output for crashes helps me a lot. Often it is not possible to reproduce crashes from within gdbm because gdb hangs for certain operations on windows... (so i can reproduce in normal mode, but not within gdb). So backtraces are very much appreciated!
Also, just a short message that you were able to reproduce the bug with svn rev. xxx is very helpful in determining where to spend time.
Cheers, Johan

Agreed. Alexandre, if you can reproduce some old crash bug with SVN, please comment it with as much detail as possible and then drop a link to the bug here on the list - maybe someone will have a spare minute to fix it.
