Hi, if I get the src.rpm and rebuild it to get an rpm for my Mandrake 10 system, is that usable for other Mandrake 10 users? Just asking in case it's useful for the download area.
Thanks,
PS. I tried to install the autopackage version but I got an error: err:waitForHELLO() failed to synchronize with front end: UHOH VERSION_MISMATCH
It downloaded version 0.6 of autopackage an then issued this error. I had installed a cvs version of the inkscape autopackage before. If someone would like to get the full output after the ./inkscape-0.39.package command I can send it to the list.

Please remove all trace of autopackage from your system before trying this version. Previous versions of autopackage installed from the release tarballs in the usual fashion will be upgraded for you - obviously we can't do that with CVS installs, and this is what has gone wrong here.
By the way, the Inkscape page still claims that autopackage is only for "modern RPM based distros" ... there's nothing inherently RPM about autopackage.
I'd like to thank the Inkscape developers for bearing with us while we iron out the teething problems here, I'm sure it must be annoying for those who aren't interested in packaging to have the list filled up with this stuff. It's appreciated though!
thanks -mike

Okay, I've updated this; can someone push the website?
