Hi,
There appears to be nothing in the release notes about the new Connector Tool additions.
The Swatches section needs to be expanded with an explanation of how to use them. Why is a linear gradient created when clicking on the Swatches icon in the Fill and Stroke dialog?

Jon mentioned that he should be able to fix up his portion of the release notes tonight.
Cheers, Josh

I just had a look at the swatches feature -- hadn't really noticed it till now. Very cool, I like it! I've got a (fairly subjective) bug report regarding performance:
Changing the colour of a swatch is fairly slow (I click the new colour in the fill dialog and there's a noticeable lag before the object(s) update onscreen), and it becomes slower the more swatches & objects I add. Even 1 object & 1 swatch is noticeable. More than 5 of each starts getting rather annoyingly slow, making it hard to work with.
More than that, I haven't tried, but I doubt if it'll get any faster with more objects/swatches ;-)
Any chance of that being fixed up? Let me know if I should post a proper bug report.
