OK. Deleted preferences.xml Ran Inkscape. Text is at Alpha1

Reinstalled Inkscape and preferences.xml was regenerated with tools fill-opacity= 0.75. My original thoughts were that this 0.75 had to be changed to 1. However, clearly this is not so.

This means the installer puts its own obsolete copy of preferences.xml, which it must not do. The program will take care of preferences itself; installer must not create it.
