Brief inkscape-web project update: need help with content migration
I don't have time to post a proper status update with more details of what needs doing and I'm away for the next two days, but if there's anyone inclined to help with the inkscape-web project, please take a look at http://dev.inkscape.org/ and see where you can help. Content migration (English and other languages) is the main thing which needs to be done; many things which need to be done will be quite obvious. Code and content etc. is in lp:inkscape-web.

It would be useful to change the "inkscape admin" team (bad name choice IMO, it should be "Inkscape Web Admins" or something like that) to Moderated instead of Restricted, so that people who have an interest in this could apply on Launchpad.
Regards, Krzysztof
Only Ian is admin in the group, so I can't change it.
Not sure if Ian is on inkscape-devel anymore, please make sure all messages on this topic are CCed to him as well until he saith yea or nay.

Hi,
Just to report a small bug about an error message.
In my navigation, the url is automatcally replaced with http://fr.dev.inkscape.org/ and the following message is displayed on other pages: This page is not available in English. Here is the English version of this page. If you would like to help with translating this website, please contact us http://fr.dev.inkscape.org/about/.
I think that the first language named is not correct.
I've had people apply before and been able to approve them. If you send me an email or hit me up on irc explaining how to change this over. also I was confused on where the name would be used. personally launchpad can be quite cumbersome at times. thanks, Ian 2011/7/20 Krzysztof Kosiński <tweenk.pl@...400...>

I'm looking at those .rst files and feeling kinda puzzled.
Is there a reference for markup? Do we have naming conventions for files?
Alexandre
It's called restructured text. Here is a quick reference that helped me formatting the news section of the new website:

Hey Chris,
I notice the issues with the Download page, I'd like to see the "Linux" version should go first, before windows and macosx. But rather than just complain...
As far as sorting out what to do about it, if you'd like to leave it to me, I have a set of good patterns to show the most relevant distro/os and we could remove the need for having a complex download page if we did it right.
Obviously we'd keep an expanded view so you could download for a different os/distro than what you're using, but for the majority we want the website to help users get the download/archive they need.
Let me know if you want me to work on it.
