I visited the site https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/organizations/6010720831406080/ went through idea page and found a idea according to my knowledge. The project idea is: Slice toolbar items. I want to know about how should i prepare my proposal and what are the requirements?

Reading _all_ of the http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Google_Summer_of_Code page, especially the "Student Applications" section is a prerequisite to successful participation :)
Alex
Where can I find the source code related to the particular project mentioned in previous email. So that i can start writing codes to send two patches. And how should I write a good proposal. Mentioned that I have a working knowledge of c/c++ and still learning more.

Hi Nishant.
I'm the mentor to this proyect. This weekend I'm going to find more information about mentoring/students.
Anyway, ¿You have experience with Launchpad? Launchpad has currently the source code of Inkscape[1] along other branches with extra features/bug fixes.
There is also another branch can help in the same place, particulary this from Alexander Brock[2].
We can use the code in trunk for boolops operations created by Krzysztof Kosiński and the Join Type LPE to get code to convert strokes to paths.
Also in launchpad there is a bug section to allow select two objetives and make the two patches required.
The code you develop reside inside in a new branch before definitly be merged onto trunk.
Feel free to ask me, directly or not, the questions you have.
¿You speak spanish? Im bad with english.
