Re: [Inkscape-devel] Gradient Meshes
I think we're best off providing UI to utilize the features we do have from SVG;
And from Sodipodi. It's amazing how much stuff we can render but lack creation tools for. Bitmap fills, patterns, masks, clones (svg:use), multistage gradients... All we need for these is just UI and some bugfixing, and voila. This should be one of the main directions of Inkscape development IMHO.

This may have been noted but I cannot get into SourceForge to check.
I am using Win32 Auto-build 23 March.
When I change the gradient colours in any one object, every object gradient changes to the new colours. It happens for linear and radial gradients.
The position/direction of the gradients can be set individually for objects with no problem.

Do we have these 'GUI todos' listed somewhere? For planning purposes it'd be very handy to have such a list, because often the GUI work can be done with only modest knowledge of the underlying rendering tech, but it is hard to identify how to plug the GUI bits onto the render stuff. At least, this has been my experience with hooking up markers.
Also, for each thing in need of a GUI it would be useful to have a rough design concept identified so we know what widgets are needed.
