No I don't need to delete the prefs every time. It seems to be linked to the document itself in the same session when Filters Editor and Custom filters are open togheter.

If I reopen a file where a filter was applied and I close the Filters Editor (which wasn't closed before closing the document previously) without touching anything, then live preview works fine.

If I unapply the filter from the Editor, clean up the document and then close the Filters Editor, it works without closing and reopening the document.

If I unapply any filters in the Filters Editor, then close the Editor (without cleaning up the document) and then apply a new filter then it works too.
