Thank you for the design proposal, I think your design is very good with a balance of handle positions. We're still missing a couple of options, but it covers the largest use cases nicely.

But I find the interactionvery overloaded of buttons in the video. And I think it becames so complex and not coherent with the old functions.

Your finding isn't unique, it's a known problem which I think you have helped with your proposal :-) thank you. The video is a bit out dated and a similar design to your proposal came afterwards, the debate about multiple clicks to change the mode did point out the break in past function that may cause some concern.

I send you attached an alternative proposal to implement such nice feature in next Inkscape version. Considering the simplest way and more coherent with Inkscape.
